Not new, but new to me...

We had a 1991 Ford Aerostar Van. I say "had" because the last few weeks it has proven that 177,000 miles was over the limit and was planning a slow, agonizing death. So, today I traded it in for a 2000 Chevy Venture van.

I absolutely love my new van but the $355 car payment scares the shit out of me. My old van was paid off years ago so this monthly car payment thingy has my head reeling.

Tell me I did the right thing. Tell me it'll all be okay. Lie to me if you have to. :lol

You did the right thing.

Vehicles are a necessity in most places.

Car payments do suck, though. So I sympathize.
Thanks, Karen. When I awoke this morning, I smiled. I guess it means the shock of those payments has taken second place to the thrill of a new vehicle.

Hiya Pegs!

I can relate to "batty"...lol. I told my husband if I go apeshit each time the payment is due, just ignore me. He said it wouldn't be a problem since he ignores me every time I go apeshit over something. ROFLMAO!!

***rattle rattle***

You did the right thing.

And so did I, with the new Ford Freestyle I got a couple months ago.

The right thing. This I've been telling myself so often that I almost believe me now.

Damn the budget, and full speed ahead!
